Meet the Board of Trustees

Welcome Naiobe S. (Sharrock) one of our new Board of Trustee members!

Naiobe brings a lifelong love for museums to the Board, and an ability to speak passionately of the impact of museums in her life and the life of others.

Naiobe is an accomplished educator and community partner with extensive experience in school administration, curriculum development, and strategic planning. As an Assistant Principal in Essex County, she has led initiatives in social-emotional learning, student attendance, and community engagement, fostering partnerships that support student success and well-being.

A dedicated public servant, Ms. Sharrock actively contributes to civic life through her involvement with the Junior League of Elizabeth Plainfield, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, Westfield MLK, Plainfield Historical Society, and the Netherwood Heights Neighborhood Association. She also maintains professional affiliations with Phi Delta Kappa International, ASCD, NJPSA, and SAG-AFTRA. Currently pursuing her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Ms. Sharrock brings a deep commitment to equity, governance, and collaborative leadership to every board she serves
