Friends of the State Museum 45th Anniversary Award Luncheon
The New Jersey State Museum and Planetarium thanks the Friends of the State Museum for 45 years of support for the Museum’s collections, exhibitions and educational programs through fundraising, advocacy, volunteerism and promotion. On Sunday, the Friends Board, Trustees and Members gathered with Museum Staff to celebrate its anniversary and reflect upon its past accomplishments. Since 1968, the Friends have contributed over $7 million in funding for collections, exhibitions and programs- 3 million of that amount was used in the past five years to help reopen the collection galleries and the Planetarium chamber and lobby.
